2,400 years ago, there were Celts living on the Kemmelberg, where remains of the ceramic crockery they made – known as Kemmelware – have been found. During the past two years, Hilde, Hugo, Christelle and Koen have resurrected this ancient pottery. They make replicas of original Kemmelware items but have added new and contemporary
touches that also give their work a modern-day feel.
Every Thursday afternoon from 2pm to 6pm, the little shop opens its doors. Various jewellery, dishes and pots are available at the Kemmelwaar shop. Come and have a look. Nice for yourself but certainly also as gifts.
Location: Shop Ceramics Kemmelwaar, Reningelststraat 39, Kemmel.
